Rules for refund shall be governed by respective universities criteria.

REFUND RULES OF PTU

(I) In case a student changes his / her / college / University during centralized counselling conducted by PTU his / her fee shall be refunded by the previous Institution after deduction of Rs. 1000/-only and the original documents will be returned immediately.

(II) In case a student surrenders his / her seat within 7 days of the end of the online counselling, he / she must submit application to the college and register online on PTU website www.ptuadmissions.nic.in. PTU shall only forward such cases to the concerned colleges / Universities and colleges must refund his / her full fee after deduction of Rs. 1000/-only.

In keeping with the direction of Ministry of Human Resource Development Department, Govt. of India all Institutions and Universities shall in public interest, maintain a waiting list of students/ candidates. In the event of a student/ candidate withdrawing before the starting of the course, the wait listed candidates should be given admissions against the vacant seat.

The entire fees collected from the student, after a deduction of the processing fee of not more than Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) shall be refunded and returned by the Institution/ University to the student/ candidate withdrawing from the programme. It would not be permissible for institutions and universities to retain the school/institutes leaving certificates in original. Should a student leave after joining the course and if the seat consequently falling vacant gets filled by another candidate by the last date of admission, the institution must return the fees collected with proportionate deductions of monthly fee and proportionate hostel rent, where applicable.

PTU Counselling 2013 Result Declaration

  • Result Declaration: On the date of result declaration, candidate who gets a seat will be informed by SMS. Alternatively candidate can logon to his/her account and check for allotment of seat. Successful Candidate can take printout of provisional allotment letter of college / Branch by logging into his/her account from the website http://www.ptuadmissions.nic.in. The allotment of seat is purely provisional and subject to verification of original certificates and payment of college fee etc, at the time of reporting in the allotted institute.
  • Candidates are required to report to their respective allotted institutions within the specified period (as per the counseling schedule) along with the documents/ testimonials/certificates and pay college fee as prescribed in the prospectus. If candidates do not report within the specified period, their allotted seats shall be cancelled and the candidates shall not have any claim on the seats, whatsoever.
  • It is in the interest of the candidates to report at the earliest to the allotted college.
  • The Candidates falling under 85% Punjab quota and 15% Other States quota, irrespective of whether they have been allotted a seat or not allotted seat or could not join the allotted institution or could not participate in the earlier round can participate in the second phase of counseling.
  • For 2 nd & 3rd round of Counselling, candidates can deposit Non-Refundable Rs 3000/- (if not deposited earlier) as counselling charges in designated branches of the banks. Candidates who have deposited Counselling fee in the 1st round will not be required to deposit the fee again for subsequent rounds.
  • The Detailed Instructions about the online counseling shall be available on the website www.ptuadmissions.nic.in and www.ptu.ac.in. The Candidate are advised to go through the details thoroughly at these sites before registration.
  • The candidates are advised not to submit original certificates at the college at the time of admission.

PTU Counselling 2013 Reserved Category Claim

Every candidate must indicate in his / her application the reserved category and sub reserved category (if applicable) for which he / she wants to apply. Candidate seeking admission under a reserved category will be entitled to apply for only one reserved category.

Candidate shall be required to bring original certificates when called upon to do so. Candidates not claiming any reservation shall be treated and considered as a “General Candidate”.

Rules / instructions of Govt. of Punjab, Regarding reserved categories as amended from time to time, will be applicable. The reservation policy of the Punjab Govt. is also given in this Brochure.

Reservation policy of Universities other than PTU shall be governed by their respective reservation criteria. PTU shall have no role in interpreting such criteria.

ALL ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES IN SUPPORT OF THEIR CLAIM MUST BE PRODUCED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION OR WHEN CALLED UPON TO DO SO.

Important : As per the vide letter no. F.1-27/2009 (SCT) issued by University Grants Commission all the eligible SC/ST, OBC, PwD students etc. should submit their  scholarship form for the academic year by February for processing scholarship to SC/ST, OBC, PwD etc.

  • Registration Details: Registration Detail is important for seat allotment and should be filled very carefully.

Instructions for making counseling fee payment

You need to print E-Slip form for each selected course and deposit it in the selected branch

To generate E-Slip form for all courses together, click on button “Print All E-Slip forms” (Once the cash E-Slip form is generated, you will not be able to generate E-Slip form(s) for another bank or branch.)

You need to deposit the E-Slip form(s) at the selected bank branch

Please do ask the bank clerk to enter four required fields in their system (Roll Number, Name, Amount, E-Slip Number)

Please take proper stamped confirmation receipt from the bank (the bottom half of the E-Slip Form) You will get email verification once your payment has been received by Punjab Technical University.

  • After the Cash has been deposited, it will take minimum 3 Business days for activation of account.

If “Mode of payment” is selected as “Credit/ Debit card” then fill up the following fields to deposit fee.

After submitting it will take you to HDFC payment gateway and here you need to fill up credit/ debit card’s details and then make the payment. If the payment will be successful then it will give you the option to print receipt else you need to make the payment again.

Only Credit Cards with “Visa” or “Master Card” logo are accepted. This is a 3D secured verification payment gateway which requires use of a password for credit cards. Please contact your bank to make sure your credit card is activated for online payments

PTU B.Tech/B.Arch Counselling 2013 Procedure

ONLINE COUNSELLING PROCEDURE FOR B.TECH & B. ARCH COURSES

PTU will hold joint online counselling for admission to 1ST year B.Tech. & B.Arch of colleges affiliated to PTU Jalandhar, GNDU Amritsar, PAU Ludhiana and Punjabi University, Patiala based on JEE Main -2013 results, as applicable.

1 Counselling Fee : Counselling Fee 1st year B.Tech/B.Arch: To Participate in online counseling, every candidate belonging to 85% quota and 15% quota, irrespective of his/her category, shall have to deposit a counseling fee of Rs.2000/- (Non-Refundable) by following ways :

  •  Log into www.ptuaccounts.ac.in
  •  Fill the respective information.
  •  Select from any designated Banks as listed in the website where the candidate intends to deposit his/her counseling fees through cash.
  •  Take a printout of the E-Deposit Slip
  •  Deposit cash in the respective Bank.

Note : No manual cash deposit slip shall be entertained in any of the following banks. Only those candidates will be able to participate, who have deposited the counseling fees on time.

2. Guidelines for filling Online Registration Form

a. Student shall log on to www.ptuadmissions.nic.in

b. Please ensure that before registering on the website, you have deposited counseling fee i.e Rs. 2000/- (Non-Refundable) in designated bank as given in the website www.ptuaccounts.ac.in, failing which you will not be allowed to register yourself for Counseling.

c. Click on to New registration (Register Here).

d. Select B.Tech or B.Arch from the dropdown list.

e. For registering in B.Tech course, Enter your JEE Main roll no, followed by JEE Main rank (All India rank), then enter your name (as given in JEE Main Examination), then enter your correct date of Birth (as given in JEE Main Examination), then enter the green number as shown in Parallel.

f. For registering in B.Arch course, Enter your roll no given at the time of Fee deposit, then enter your name & Father’s name (as given at the time of Fee deposit), then enter your correct date of Birth (as given at the time of Fee deposit), then enter the green number as shown in Parallel.

g. Before you proceed to register yourself for counseling you must ensure that you have read and understood the eligibility criteria of PTU, Punjabi University, GNDU and PAU for each Reserve category and General category.

h. Select your state of eligibility carefully as you will only be allowed to participate either in Punjab (85% Quota) or other state (15% Quota).

i. Select your Main category, Sub category and Priority in case of Sports and Defence category from the Drop box. In case you want to apply for Sports category at Punjabi University, Patiala and PAU, Ludhiana you must appear for physical test at the concerned Universities, students should see the details from Brochure as well as from the concerned Universities website. GNDU Amritsar will only accept students having Grade A, B & C. Sports persons having Grade D will not be eligible for GNDU Amritsar Seats. Moreover in Grade A, B & C, GNDU Amritsar will not consider the priority (i.e. Gold , Silver, Bronze etc.) and will allocate the seats on JEE Main All India Rank only (for B.Tech) and on PTU Rank (for B.Arch). Punjabi University, Patiala will prepare a separate merit list of the sportspersons, who pass their physical test and allocate seats irrespective of Grade A, B, C & D.

j. Please note that in case of PTU, students can avail benefit of Rural Area in addition to his / her reserved category (i.e. SC, BC, Sports etc). But if student wish to keep Rural Area as his main category for PTU,GNDU and Punjabi university then he should select main category as General and under Rural/ Urban status select “Eligibile for rural area status in Punjab State and tick () Rural seats in Punjabi University and GNDU”.

k. For availing Sikh Minority benefit from Punjab State as well as other states, the student will have to appear in Sikh Minority test conducted by SGPC. The details are available in the Brochure as well as in the website www.bbsbec.ac.in / www.sre.bbsbec.ac.in.

l. Student should fill their aggregate percentage of marks correctly.

m. Please note that Your JEE Main Roll no. (for B.Tech) and Roll No allotted at the time of Fee deposit for B.Arch is your login ID. Enter and reenter password carefully. Then you will have to choose secret question and its answer, in case you want to change Password later on. (Please remember your password and answer to Secret question as PTU will not be responsible for any misuse/loss of password).

n. Enter your contact number (Landline and Mobile), Address and Email ID. You will be notified about result and other important messages through SMS also.

o. Before final submission of online Registration form, Read the declaration given in the website carefully and give you consent to it, failing which you will not be able to complete your registration. Also please note that once you complete your registration, you will not be able to change any details in your registration form thereafter. So you must check your information details carefully before final submission of your registration form.

PTU Admission 2013 to College of Agricultural Engg. & Tech. of Punjab Agricultural University – Complete Information

College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology The College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology is known throughout the country and abroad for outstanding contribution in the fields of education, research and extension. The College offers B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) Programme of 4-years duration to which 60 students are admitted each year based on All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) for admission to all the engineering colleges in the country. Eight seats are reserved for (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) ICAR nominees. The M.Tech. programme is offered in the disciplines of Farm Machinery & Power Engineering; Processing and Food Engineering; Soil and Water Engineering; Computer Science and Engineering and Civil Engineering. The three major disciplines of Agricultural Engineering and School of Energy Studies for Agriculture also offer Ph.D. programme. The School of Electrical Engineering & Information Technology, which was established in the year 2009, offers self supporting MCA programme. The College has endeavored to incorporate appropriate improvements in B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) curriculum keeping in view the employment needs of the students. Explanation A to H

(A) SC / ST certificates to be issued by the competent authority as per specimen given in Annexure-II.

(B) This includes all the specified backward classes whose family income does not exceed Rs. 4.5lacs per annum in the last three consecutive years or any such limit notified by the Punjab Government. Latest Certificate issued by competent authority to be attached as per specimen given in Annexure-III

(C) For claiming “Rural Area” reservation, the candidate will have to produce a certificate from Sub- divisional Magistrate/GA to D.C. to having studied for a minimum of two years and passed Matric/Higher Secondary Part-1 or +2 from a school which is situated in rural area. The candidate should also be a permanent resident of a rural area (village). This school should not fall within the limits of any Municipal Committee, notified area or a Cantonment Board. Schools like Dashmesh Academy and those situated in university campuses, Nangal Township and Talwara Township are excluded from the list of schools in the rural category. The format for Rural Area Certificate is attached as Annexure- IV.

(D) A candidate will be eligible for admission under this category only if he / she is from a town / village within the belt of 10 miles from the International Border and has studied for atleast five years there and has passed public examination (Matric or Higher Secondary Part-1) from a school located in border town / village (excluding the towns Ferozepur, Gurdaspur). Two certificates one from the DC / GA to DC of the District or SDO (Civil) / SDM with the town / village being within 10 miles limit from the international border, and another from the Headmaster / Principal of the Institution with details of exact date of joining and leaving the school / college must be produced along with the application form as per Annexure-V.

(E) Only the certificates showing the specific “grade” pertaining to the following three categories from Director Sports, Punjab, Chandigarh are acceptable. The candidates will be admitted on the basis of JEE-2013 merit of Grade A followed by Grade B and then by Grade C.

Grade-A Sportsmen / Sportswomen of International standing i.e. those who have represented India in recognized international Tournaments, meets, Events, Competitions etc.

Grade-B Sportsmen / Sportswomen of National standing i.e. having represented their States, combined universities, services, State School etc. in recognized National Tournament Contents, Competitions etc. Grade-C First three position holders of Punjab State Championships, inter-districts State
Championships and State School Games, organized by Punjab Sports Departments/Punjab Olympic
Association.

(F) The Certificate should be from the Station Commander or the Commanding Office of the unit in the case of serving Defence Personnel and from the concerned District Sainik Welfare Officer in case of retired

personnel. In case of ex-serviceman below the rank of the Officers, discharge certificate should also be produced. The Officers should produce the retirement order or service particulars.

The priority for different categories under the defence quota shall be determined as per Ministry of Defence letter No. 3547/AS(R)/94 dated 03.061994 endorsed by UGC vide letter No. F.1-53/98(CPP-II) dated 5.1.2005

(G) “Physically handicapped” shall mean one who is blind or deaf or has lost an arm or a leg or the use of
any of these limbs or educable mentally retarded or is orthopedically handicapped permanently as per definition given below, provided that a certificate about any of these handicapped shall be produced from the Civil Surgeon / Chief Medical Officer of the District.

The “Blind” are those who suffer from either of the following conditions:

(i) Total absence of sight;

(ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses; (iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degree or worse.

The “Deaf” are those in whom the sense of hearing is non-functional for ordinary purposes of life. They do not hear, understand sounds at all, even with amplified speech. The cases included in this category will be those having hearing loss of more than 90 decibels in the better ear (Profound impairment) or total loss of hearing in both ears.
The Orthopedically handicapped are those who have a physical defect or deformity which causes an interference with the normal functioning of bones, muscles and joints. Alternatively, a child may be considered orthopedically handicapped if his disability prevents him from participating in an acceptable manner in childhood activities of a physical recreational or educational nature.

Mental retardation refers to sub-average general intellectual functioning which originates during the
development period and is associated with impairment in adaptive behaviour.

(H) Children of families of persons killed as a result of terrorist violence / by security forces acting in aid of civil power and for the children of innocent civilian who have sustained 100% disability in terrorist violence or during operation by security forces acting in aid of civil power / children of Sikh migrants / children of army deserters killed / 100% physically disabled children / grand children of freedom fighters including Martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh & Kuka Lehar/Successors of the participants of Kama Gata Maru Lehar defined to include only sons / daughter, grandsons / grand daughters (both maternal and paternal) / Wards of Punjab Policemen decorated with Gallantry Medals . Certificates from Deputy Commissioner / GA to DC / ADC shall be accepted as per ANNEXURE-VI.

The total reservation for all categories (excluding the sponsored candidates) shall not exceed 50% of the total strength in a course / class. If required e.g. in a course where the number of seats is less than 30 the reserve categories D to H may be clubbed together or into two or more groups of categories to arrive at a whole number for making the admission. However no one category will have more than one seat at the cost of any other reserve category if two or more seats are available by clubbing.

The reserve categories A-E and G will be open for Punjab domicile (85% quota) candidates only. The reserve categories for outside Punjab State candidates (15% quota) will be as per Punjab Government Notification.

The candidate claiming seats under any one reserved category will be admitted on merit inter-se in that category / categories subject to fulfilling the eligibility requirements.

All candidates must declare their claims for reserved categories at the time of filling their forms for the entrance test/counselling otherwise; their subsequent claims may not be accepted. Admission will first be made against reserved categories and if any reserved seat remains unfilled, it will be treated as open for admission from general category candidates. The claim for a seat in any reserve category will not prejudice the right of a candidate for being considered in open merit.

ONE EXTRA SEAT MAY BE CREATED TO ADMIT A FOREIGN STUDENT SPONSORED BY THE MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCES IN ANY COURSE PROVIDED NECESSARY PHYSICAL FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE AND THE CANDIDATE FULFILS THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

1. All foreign students seeking admission to this university should get either sponsorship or No Objection Certificate from Govt. of India. However, candidate sponsored by Govt. of India will be preferred.

2. All such candidates have to meet a minimum requirement of eligibility for admission to the respective course. They are also required to sit in the Entrance Test and qualify the same.

3. Foreign students residing in India and having qualified in the eligibility examination should appear in the Combined Entrance Test for the said course.

4. No admission will be made after the last date of admission approved by the Vice-Chancellor.

5. All foreign students will be admitted only after getting Eligibility Certificate issued for the course from the General Branch of the University.

6. Foreign students must have Student Visas issued by the Govt. of India.

In course where number of seats for admission is restricted due to limitation of facilities and filled quota of reservation category becomes more than 50% of total seats, an ad-hoc marginal increase in open category quota, may be allowed to fulfill the requirement of atleast 50% seats in open category. This increase will not at all count towards any fresh calculation of reservation policy quota.

FOR RESERVED CATEGORIES, LATEST CERTIFICATES NEED TO BE PRODUCED

The university also provides facility of (Tuition) free education to children of persons killed in November, 1984 riots and terrorist violence in Punjab State.

(e) Fee Structure

1. The fee structure and the mode of payment shall be available at www.gndu.ac.in

2. The fee is to be deposited in one installment at the time of admission.

3. Refund of Fee shall be as per University rules.

4. The counseling fee of Rs. 3000/- for each manual round to be conducted by GND University, Amritsar.

(f) Other Conditions:

1. University may change the number of seats in any course and discontinue any course, if adequate number of students (minimum 50% of total intake) in that particular course does not get admission.

2 After admission a candidate has to join the concerned department positively on the stipulated date for the commencement of classes by submitting a joining report to the concerned Head of Department.

3. If a student does not attend the classes, continuously for 15 days without any information to the Head of Department concerned, his / her name is liable to be struck off the Rolls of the department. He / She may seek re admission giving valid reasons about his / her absence within next 15 days, failing which he / she will forfeit the right of re-admission.

Admission to Engineering Colleges/Institutions of Punjabi University, Patiala. Punjabi University, Patiala is one of the premier institutions of higher education in northern India. Although originally the University was conceived to develop and promote the Punjabi language, literature and culture, it has since evolved into a multi-faceted and multi-faculty institution with around sixty-five teaching and research departments, with each department dedicated to excellence in its respective field, producing scholars and professionals of repute.

The University has a modern and well-planned campus located in a sprawling stretch of 320 acres with imposing buildings in a lush-green and pollution-free environment, 7 kilometers away from the din of the city. It has the privilege of having one of the most experienced faculties and best equipped departments and student facilities. All the departments are computerized and networked with the central computer centre through optical fiber network. Admission of NRI candidates will be based on merit in 10+2 (Non-Medical) or equivalent examination. Candidates seeking admission under this category should contact the Head, University College of Engineering for further details such as eligibility conditions, last date of application, procedure, counselling schedule etc.. The admission of NRI candidates will be made on the basis of academic merit of the qualifying examination. No entrance test is required for these candidates. However, they will have to submit the admission form by the due date as per the instructions available at (www.punjabiuniversity.ac.in). Besides this the candidate will have to produce an equivalence certificate.

The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates/documents at the time of admission / confirmation of seat. A candidate seeking admission under particular reserved category must provide category certificate(s) at the time of Seat Confirmation / Reporting in Punjabi University Patiala as per the format available in Punjabi University Handbook of Information for Professional Courses, otherwise the candidate’s claim will be forfeited. If a candidate fails to fulfill the eligibility requirements at the time of Seat Confirmation / Reporting in Punjabi University Patiala due to inappropriate / lacking documents / certificates, his/her admission shall stand cancelled. 3. A candidate shall be eligible for admission under [category S. No. 4(a & b): Table 1]only if he/she is from a town/village within 10 miles from the International Border excluding the towns of Ferozepur and Gurdaspur or his/her town/village falls within the Backward area limits. A certificate to this affect should be obtained from S.D.M./G..A. to D.C./D.C. and S.D.O. (Civil).

4. A candidate claiming admission under [category S. No. 4(c1, c2 & c3: Table 1] must at least be 40 per cent handicapped duly certified by the C.M.O.

5. In case of [category S. No. 4(d): Table 1] a widow must produce death certificate of her husband and a divorced woman a legal certificate containing the final decision of the Court.

6. A candidate claiming admission under the [category S. No. 4(e & f): Table 1] will produce a certificate from the Commanding Officer/Commandant/SSP.

7. In order to decide the eligibility of riots-affected [category S. No. 4(g): Table 1], the candidate must  produce a certificate from the respective Deputy Commissioner to the effect that he/she is a November, 1984 riots affected displaced person. As regards a terrorist affected person/dependent of terrorist affected families in Punjab, a certificate from the respective Deputy Commissioner to this effect is required.

Dependents of terrorist affected family will mean a family which has lost its bread-earner in some terrorist action in Punjab.

8. A candidate seeking admission under [category S. No. 4(h): Table 1] will produce a certificate from the respective Deputy Commissioner.

9. Candidates from Rural Areas [Additional seats, category S. No. 1: Table 1] In each course of study, there will be 10% additional seats for the candidates hailing from rural areas, subject to a minimum of one seat. Only those candidates will be considered in this category who have passed their Matriculation/+2 examination from those rural schools which do not fall in the area of a Municipal Corporation/Municipal Committee/Small Town/Notified Area.

Further, the candidate should have been studying in such school for at least five years before passing the last examination. A candidate claiming such benefit will have to produce a certificate from the Tehsildar of the area certifying that the school from where the candidate has passed the Matriculation/+2 examination, falls within the aforesaid rural area.

10. Single Girl Child [Additional seats, category S.No.6: Table 1] In each course of study there will be one additional seat for single girl child which means where the only child is the girl child in the family. Students admitted against the Single Girl Child seat in post-graduate courses will be eligible to apply for the scholarship under UGC scheme “Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child” provided that an affidavit from the student duly attested by the First Class Magistrate/Gazetted officer mentioning that she is the only child in the family is submitted.

III COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & MANAGEMENT – RAMPURA PHUL

A) Eligibility Criteria for PTU online counselling Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English subjects, will be admitted on the basis of their merit in JEE (Main)-2013 as per the counselling schedule of Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar for all categories other than NRI category. RULES FOR ADJUSTMENT / REFUND OF FEES (i) In case a student changes his / her / college / University during centralized counselling conducted by PTU his / her fee shall be refunded by the previous Institution after deduction of Rs. 1000/-only and the original documents will be returned immediately. (ii) In case a student surrenders his / her seat within 7 days of the end of the online counselling, he / she must submit application to the college and register online on PTU website www.ptuadmissions.nic.in. PTU shall only forward such cases to the concerned colleges / Universities and colleges must refund his / her full fee after deduction of Rs. 1000/-only.

(iii) In keeping with the direction of Ministry of Human Resource Development Department, Govt. of India all Institutions and Universities shall in public interest, maintain a waiting list of students/ candidates. In the event of a student/ candidate withdrawing before the starting of the course, the wait listed candidates should be given admissions against the vacant seat. The entire fees collected from the student, after a deduction of the processing fee of not more than Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) shall be refunded and returned by the Institution/ University to the student/ candidate withdrawing from the programme. It would not be permissible for institutions and universities to retain the school/institutes leaving certificates in original. TIE-UP ARRANGEMENT FOR EDUCATIONAL LOAN Tie-Up arrangement for Education Loan to the students studying/pursuing courses at different colleges affiliated to Punjab Technical University has been made with the following banks: 1. Punjab National Bank 2. HDFC Bank Education loan to the students will be sanctioned by the Bank subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria for Education Loan. The loan facility is hereby extended to all students of PTU studying under regular education programme. Students can contact to the nearest bank for education load facility. 12. COUNSELLING SCHEDULE FOR FEE WAIVER SCHEME AND MAGAMENT QUOTA

Admission to B. Pharmacy course of Punjab Technical University shall be conducted only through online Counselling

1. Eligibility Conditions

A. Eligibility

As per Punjab Government notification No. 13/105/10-1TE2/792 Dated: 08-03-2013. ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA for admission is :

I. B. Pharmacy Course

All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination from a board recognized or established by Central/State Government through a legislation with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subject along with one of the Mathematics/Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology shall eligible to apply. OR All those candidates who have passed Diploma Pharmacy from an institute affiliated to Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training / Punjabi University, Patiala or any other University or any State Board of Technical Education provided that the diploma or the institute duly approved by the PCI / AICTE.

II. Pharma.D course

The minimum qualification for admission to Pharma.D course shall be as follows:

i) A pass in 10+2 examination from a board recognized or established by Central/State Government through a legislation with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects:

  •  Mathematics or Biology

ii) A pass in D.Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy council of India under section 12 of The Pharmacy Act.

iii) Candidates shall be admitted to 4 year B.Pharmacy course and 6 year Pharma.D course on the basis of inter-se-merit in the qualifying examination mentioned above.

B. Possesses a good moral character.

C. Fulfills the conditions mentioned in the Punjab Govt. notification incorporated in the Information Brochure. D. Fulfills the requirements laid down by the University / Institution to which he / she is seeking admission. E. Is a citizen of India. All other general eligibility criteria is as per Memo No. 35/44/95-1T(2)/978 Dated, Chandigarh, the 21st March, 2003 of the State Govt. of Punjab .

4. All other general conditions like reservation policy resident status shall be same as for B. Tech. Courses.

5. Tie Breaking In cae of tie the same shall be decided as follows

(i) The candidate scoring higher marks in Compulsory shall be higher in merit

(ii) In case of tie in (i) above, candidates scoring higher marks in Physics shall be higher in merit.

(iii) In case of tie in (ii) above, candidates scoring higher marks in Chemitry shall be higher in merit.

(iv) In case of tie in (iii) above, candidates senior in age shall rank higher in order of merit.

(v) In case of tie in (iv) above, candidates scoring higher marks in 10th examination shall be higher in merit.

NOTE: The inclusion of the name of a candidate in the merit list B.Pharamcy / Pharm’D shall not ipso facto, entitle him / her to secure admission.
