DTE Maharashtra Admissions to First Year Engineering/Technology 2014-2015: Notification
The Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai is the Competent Authority for admission to First Year Engineering 2014-2015.
The aspiring candidates are hereby informed to prepare for the All India JEE Main (Paper 1). The Score of JEE Main (Paper 1) and HSC Marks shall be considered for preparing the Merit.
JEE Main 2014 is the examination conducted by JEE Apex Board (JAB) for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes. The States of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) – 2014 application form online.
Maharshtra Engineering and Technology Admissions 2014 – Information at a glance
The aspiring candidates have to apply online only through JEE (Main)-2014. CLICK HERE TO APPLY. The online application process has started from 15th November 2013 onwards. The last date for application is 26th December 2013.
The candidates are requested to read the information bulletin carefully and themselves ensure their eligibility as per the criteria laid down for JEE (Main). Candidates seeking admission to the institutions in the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra Nagaland and Odisha, which were earlier admitting based on their state level examination, are also advised to verify their eligibility as per criteria laid down by these state governments. No. of Attempts and Age limit for Maharashtra, Year of Passing or Appearing Class 12th / Qualifying Examination:
Since the states of Maharashtra, Nagaland and Odisha have now joined JEE (Main) system from 2014. The age limit, for admission to institutions in these states which were earlier admitting candidates based on their state level examinations, will be as per their past practice only. The number of attempts in such cases will also remain same as per their past practice. This will however be obviously not applicable for admission to IITs/NITs/IIITs/CFTIs.
Choice of Medium of Question Papers
Examination Centre Cities in Maharashtra will have question papers in English, Hindi, Marathi and Urdu.
First Year Pharmacy 2014-2015
The MT CET (Maharashtra Technical Common Entrance Test) was earlier conducted for admission to first year of four year full time degree courses in Engineering / Technology and Pharmacy in the State of Maharashtra by the Government of Maharashtra. As this year first year engineering admissions 2014 will be on basis of JEE Main 2014, MT CET will be conducted for admissions to first year Pharmacy courses in the state of Maharashtra. Official notification regarding the same is expected to be announced in March 2014. The details given below are as per previous year information. Candidates are advised to get an idea of the exam, procedure and other details as per the information given. Candidates seeking admission to first year of B. Pharmacy are required to appear for Maharashtra Technical Common Entrance Test (MT-CET) conducted by Director, Technical Education, Mumbai (DTE) , the competent authority appointed by Govt. of Maharashtra. Competent authority conducts total three rounds of centralized admission (CAP). The CAP consists of first two rounds of centralized allotment wherein eligible candidates (Both Maharashtra and OMS) will fill separate/fresh Online Option forms for each round. Third round of CAP conducted by way of counseling only for the eligible Maharashtra state candidates.
Eligible candidates are required to fill in the online application form for centralized admission to pharmacy (CAP) and confirm it at application receipt centers (ARCs). Merit list of candidates is displayed on website www.dte.org.in . Then candidates are required to fill and confirm online option form(s) for CAP round(s) I/II. Accordingly allotment(s) of respective CAP round(s) I/II displayed on website. Candidates are required to report to respective institutes as per allotment of CAP round(s) I/II.
