Eligibility Criteria of Diploma Candidates Unaided Institutes Admissions
Please note: Maharashtra First Year Engineering Admissions 2014 are being done on basis of JEE Main 2014.
Candidates seeking admission to the institutions in the state of Maharashtra which was earlier admitting based on its state level examination, are also advised to verify their eligibility as per criteria laid down by these state governments.

The details given below are tentative and as per previous year information. We are updating the details as per official announcements from DTE Maharashtra.
Eligibility criteria for Candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering/Technology and seeking admission to First Year of Engineering/Technology in Unaided Institutes:
Diploma holders who have passed the Diploma course in Engineering/Technology with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and medium of instruction as English from the Polytechnics affiliated to MSBTE or AICTE approved autonomous Polytechnics in Maharashtra State ( for Maharashtra State Candidates) or such polytechnics situate inside/outside the State of Maharashtra ( for Outside Maharashtra State Candidates).
1. To resolve a tie i.e. more than one candidate securing equal aggregate marks in Final year of the Diploma exam, following order of preference shall be adopted: marks in Maths at SSC, Grand Total at SSC.
2. Eligible Diploma candidates (rule 2.11) shall be considered for Admission against the Institute level seats in Unaided Private Institutes only. The details of the admission process for filling application for admission against institute level seats shall be made available in the separate information brochure.
3. Diploma candidates (rule 2.11) are not eligible to appear for the MT-CET 2014.
