Breaking previous records, city students have shown their mettle with securing two positions in top 10 ranks in IIT-JEE (Advanced).
Anand Bhoraskar has secured AIR-3 rank in IIT-JEE, results of which were declared on Friday evening. Bhoraskar secured above 94% in CBSE class XII examination. He is also AIR 1 of KVPY.
Bhoraskar’s elder brother too is an IITian. He had got AIR-13 in IIT JEE in 2008.
He is now aspire to study computer science at IIT-B. He had secured above 94% in CBSE class XII examination. Bhoraskar is AIR-1 holder in Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY).
“I was expecting a good score in the examination but I am overjoyed with the results. This could not have been possible without the support of my parents who kept me motivated throughout. In the last two months, I was not feeling like studying much but continuous support helped me perform well in the examination. Now, I wish to study computer science from IIT-B.”
It is estimated that at least five to six candidates from city have managed to secure ranking under top 100. A total of 10,000 candidates had sit the examination this year across the country.
