Guidelines for State and Central Boards applicants for filling the Application Form
Applicants seeking admission under State/Central Boards channel should look at the minimum cut-off marks criteria of eligibility. If their marks in class 12 boards are less than the cut-off marks specified in the MINIMUM MARKS TABLE (Take total of marks obtained in all subjects to calculate percentage of marks) then their application will not be accepted. Here the terms Total Marks obtained & Maximum possible marks means the total marks obtained in all the subjects in which the candidate has appeared and corresponding maximum marks in all possible subjects as indicated in the transcript. This interpretation is irrespective of any other presumptions, assumptions, considerations, declarations, explanation, and interpretation given by the boards or any other body written or otherwise.
Following three exemptions are applicable to this criterion:
The cut-off for SC/ST is 55% for all boards.
For OBC (non-creamy) and PD, a 5% relaxation of the DST cut-off is tenable.
Those candidates passing Class XII in 2013 and who are recipients of the eligibility note, based on their performance in Class XII examination, from the school board for DST INSPIRE Fellowship may also apply. Cut-off in the above link does not apply to such students.
NOTE: Eligibility does not imply that you will be called for counseling or test. Only the shortlisted candidates
will be issued the call letter.
