In compliance with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi, has been conducting the All India Pre- Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination since the year 1988 exclusively for admission to the 15% of total seats in the Govt. Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directives of the Hon’ble Court and are governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India from time to time.Subsequently, with the notifications published by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India amending their respective regulations for admission to MBBS/BDS course the admission under 15% All India Quota Seats shall be based on the merit position obtained by the candidates in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) from the Academic Session 2013-14. The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and providing of merit list to the DGHS as per its requirement. The counseling for successful candidates for admission to the 15% All India Quota seats is conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. During counseling, the eligibility criteria, various documents, etc. of the candidate is verified and Medical/Dental College is allotted to the candidate according to the choice and availability.
