Boards Cut Off for 20 Percentile Marks for IIT JEE Advanced
From 2013 to be eligible for admissions in IITs through JEE Advanced Exam students must be in To 20 Percentile of their respective boards in their category.
Joint Entrance Examination (Main)
JEE Main for Admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other centrally funded TechnicalInstitutions, Institutions funded by several participating State Governments, and several other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/other Qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The Paper-1 of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.
Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced)
JEE Advanced will be jointly conducted by IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee. These institutes are henceforth referred to as the zonal IITs.
